So Apparently Blogging Is Not My Forte :)

So it has obviously been a while since my last post.  So much has happened since November, but I am going to try my best to recap as much as I can.  :)

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Mom, Katie, and I went shopping in the middle of the night on Black Friday.  We had a blast like we always do when we are together!  This year, I was on a mad hunt for a cleaning caddy to give to Henry for Christmas.  I am happy to report that we got the cleaning caddy, and Henry loves it!  He especially likes turning the vaccuum on and off.  :)

During November, I took Henry to the Party Time Play Center in Wentzville for the first time.  It is like an indoor playground.  He had lots of fun!  I love taking my little boy on mommy/son play dates.

Henry also visited Santa Claus at the mall one day while mom, Katie, and I were shopping.  I thought for sure he would cry when he sat on Santa's lap, but my little boy was all smiles!

This was an impromptu visit so Henry was just in his sweats.  Of course, being the crazy momma that I am, I had to take Henry back to see Santa Claus in his Christmas outfit.  This time we decided to see Santa at Bass Pro Shop.  They had the cutest little North Pole town with games and rides.  Henry loved seeing Santa and riding the merry go round.

On December 19, the sweetest little girl that I have ever met was born, Eleanor Bailey Hylton.  It was so exciting waiting in the hospital for Elle to arrive.  She decided to take her time making an entrance so we were there for a couple of days.  :)  She is just the most precious little lady that I have ever seen, and I love her to pieces!

This December was also the first time that Henry got to play in the snow.  He loved it!  He especially liked being pulled around in his sled which really wore Nick and I out.  :)  Nick made fun of me because I had Henry bundled up in so many layers.  He said that Henry looked like the little boy from A Christmas Story!  I have to say that I got the "bundling our kids up in too many layers" gene honestly.  I remember mom doing the same thing for me when I was younger.  :)

We had a wonderful Christmas!  I always love spending the night at mom and dad's on Christmas Eve.  We have so much fun together.  We woke up on Christmas morning to a mountain of presents.  It seems like the pile of presents gets bigger and bigger every year, and I don't see this trend stopping anytime soon.  :) Henry had fun opening presents this year and climbing on boxes.  Some of his favorite presents were his Sesame Street couch, cleaning caddy, and mickey mouse wagon.  Will was really surprised when he opened his muppet.  He, of course, name him Darryl.  :)  We all laughed so hard when Will put on shows with Darryl over Christmas break.

The month of January was pretty laid back.  We all went over to mom and dad's for New Year's Eve.  The majority of the month was spent hanging out around mom and dad's with Henry and Elle.  Nick, Henry, Oscar, and I moved into mom and dad's house on January 19.  We were so excited about selling our house and super excited about looking for a new house for our family!

February was a great month.  Nick and I went on vacation in Punta Cuna for a John Deere Landscapes convention, and we found our dream house!  Our vacation was amazing!  We stayed at the Hard Rock resort, and it was absolutely gorgeous!

The month of March has seemed to fly by.  Nick, Henry, Oscar, and I just moved into our new house last Friday, March 15.  We LOVE it!  There are still boxes everywhere, and our garage is filled to the brim with our belongings.  I keep asking myself "how have we already accumulated so many things????"  Nick and I are so thankful to mom and dad for letting us crash with them for the past 2 months.  We had lots of fun hanging out with them 24/7!  I am going to miss that!  I am so happy that this whole moving process is coming to a close for us, and we have found a beautiful house for our little Henry to grow up in!
Our little Henry has such a fun personality!  He is really turning into quite the entertainer, and he makes us laugh everyday!  He still growls like a monster, loves looking for puppy dogs, and adores playing with Oscar Mayer.  Henry thinks his PawPaw is just the funniest person ever.  Every time anything funny happens, Henry will laugh and say "PawPaw."  It is so cute.  :)  He loves spending time with Uncle Will when he comes home.  Henry is going to love it when Will is home all summer.  Henry can point out his nose, ears, tummy, and toes.  He still loves being read to.  He will grab a book, sit on your lap, and want you to read to him.  He is just the sweetest little boy and makes every day amazing!  This little boy sure does have his mommy and daddy wrapped around his chubby little finger!  :)  I love him to pieces!

How is it possible that my little boy is 1 already?!?

Nick and I officially have a 1 year old!  I cannot believe how big my little boy is getting.  He went to the doctor today for his 1 year appointment and he weighed 26 lbs. 15 oz. and was 31 inches long.  The doctor said that it is time for Henry to give up the bottle and formula.  I am not gonna lie....I'm a little nervous about this!  Keeping my fingers crossed that we have a smooth transition!

Henry had his birthday party on Saturday, and we had so much fun!  Our little boy was showered with presents!  He has more toys than he could ever play with and tons of new books (this makes the teacher in me very happy!)  We had a football/Huskers theme for the party and everything turned out great!  The weather was beautiful, and most importantly, Henry had a blast!

Henry's actual birthday (November 7) was last Wednesday.  When Henry woke up, he opened one present before he went to maw maw's house.  He opened his broom set and absolutely love it!  He insisted on taking it to grandma's with him ;)  I had to work, but mom made sure that my little boy had a special day.  She took Henry out to lunch at McDonald's and then let him pick out a present at Toys'R'Us.  That night, Katie, mom, and dad came over for dinner and watched Henry open presents and eat cake.

Last Sunday, Henry had his 1 year smash cake photo shoot.  He had so much fun, and Nick and I laughed so hard watching our little boy eat his cake!  I am really going to miss these photo shoots with Tracey every 3 months :(

For Halloween, Henry dressed up as the cowardly lion, and I was Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz.  We dressed up over at mom and dad's house and handed out candy.  Henry looked so cute as a little lion.  I just kept staring at him all night because I never want to forget how adorable my little boy looked on his first Halloween.

Henry started kicking a ball on October 31.  Mom and dad both say that is really advanced for his age.  I think our little boy is a future soccer star!  Henry is now waving good-bye, growls when we tell him to be a monster baby. sticks his finger up his nose when we ask him where his nose is, has 13-14 teeth, and still loves playing with my hair.  He is running around the house, squeals when he plays with Oscar Mayer, and loves his broom and his Jake and the Neverland Pirates sword.  It is so much fun watching our little boy grow up!

First Steps!!!!

Our little boy is officially a walker...in progress :)  He took his first steps last Wednesday, October 10.  He started off by taking about 4 steps, and he is now up to about 8 wobbly steps.  It is so much fun watching him walk!  I can't believe how big my little boy is getting!  He is now 11 months old and just getting funnier every day.  He loves goofing around with his sippy cup, panting like a puppy dog when you ask him what a puppy dog says, being held upside down, and playing with Oscar Mayer.  He is turning into such a little comedian!

Last weekend (October 7), we had Katie's baby shower, and everything turned out great!  Mom and I were so relieved that everything came together just how we had pictured it.  Mom made Katie the cutest diaper wreath and yarn wrapped letters that spelled "Elle."  Katie and I both told her that she needed to open her own etsy shop :)  Aunt Colleen drove down from North Platte for the weekend.  We had so much fun with her, and she was such a big help with getting everything ready for the shower.

Henry has now transitioned to the big tub.  He loves splashing and standing up (even though we are constantly telling him to sit down.)  He is loving eating his table food.  He has recently tried pancakes, waffles, cinnamon rolls, spaghetti, and grilled cheese.  His favorite food right now is pickles!

We are having so much fun watching this little boy grow up and accomplish new things every day.  We can't forget our Oscar Mayer though....our little weinie beans turned 4 on October 8.  He is such a good big brother!
